Built on Wordpress, JustPersonality.com is a comedy video blog completely built by me. This is the first published website that I built for another person, on Wordpress (the way big boy’s make websites).
The site was made to cater to posts with Youtube embeds while remaining normal blog functionality. Beyond design and development I equipped the site with everything Google: Apps for Domain, Gmail, Analytics, Adsense, Webmaster Tools, etc. I also came up with the the name and branding of the site: Just Videos, Just Blog, Just Personality, and implemented advertisement campaigns and optimized the site for search engines (including sitemap submissions).
The site owner’s name is Justin (but don’t tell him I told you). He was looking to start a “vlog”, and loved my name suggestion: Just Personality. The branding ‘Just’ is used to identify himself, his website, and his creations: eg. Just Blog and Just Videos, or character Just Yuri.
Since he hosts all of his videos on Youtube, I customized the posting process so that he only needs to enter the youtube ID to make a video post. Using the ID only, the video is automatically loaded, sized, given API calls and registered for voting. The video’s thumbnail is automatically linked from youtube’s servers to his video index and appropriately tagged and displayed.
I achieved these customization using Wordpress’ built-in (and widely under-used) custom fields system. After implementing this system Justin said that his posting process was over 10 times faster and much easier.

To make the site “web 2.0″ friendly, justpersonality.com’s feeds are handled by Feedburner and every post automatically has a link at the bottom that easily allows the reader/user to share, bookmark, or publish to all of the major social networks and web services.
Along with designing and developing the site, am the webmaster of justperonality.com. I enrolled Justin in Adsense and LinkShare to implement his ad campaign. All of his ads are unobtrusive, hand-picked or content-relevant, and have seen respectable click rates. I actively monitor the traffic statistics and ad placement efficiency and am always making improvements.
Because of the nature of the site, it also made sense to put a post rating system into place. Users are able to vote on posts (one to five stars) and the results are published to help highlight fan favorites.
In the short time that justpersonality.com has been live, it has seen wonderful growth and results on Google due to the nature of Wordpress and the SEO’s that I have implemented.

This is Just Personality shouting out my boy, Mr. iPaul Pro. Working with him was an absolute pleasure. Not only is he a great guy, he's also very brilliant and has great ideas and creativity. His work is always precise and very clean. There's a reason they call him "pro". He takes much pride in his craft. He taught me to run my site.
